Since 1993, the Norwegian Barents Secretariat has invested nearly 350 million NOK through more than 3000 grants and cooperating programs in the Norwegian and Russian part of the Barents Region.

We have granted projects within the areas of youth cooperation, indigenous peoples, industrial and commersial development, environment and energy, welfare and culture, education and competence building. In addition we have a special focus on health care and social development.
