Norway
Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs - (in Norwegian), grants to projects and cooperation with Russia.
INTERREG IIIA - (in Norwegian), with sub-programmes Kolarctic, Nordkalotten and Sàpmi.
Export Finance Services - a website of a small consulting firm in Norway, providing information (in Norwegian) and advice on project finance. Financing institutions are being described and a digital newsletter sent out.
Manual on Financing Sources - manual on financing sources is available in pdf format from the website of the Energy Working Group of the Barents cooperation. The manual was prepared by the Norwegian consulting firm as above and partly financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Norway.
Energy-links database - database (in English) on manufacturing companies, consultants, authorities and financing institutions has been established and financed by Norway within the framework of the Barents cooperation (EWG). The site consists of a search engine and a database with short descriptions of registered entities and links to their websites. A great number of financial actors are included in the database.
Norwegian Trade Council - provides only general information (in Norwegian and English), including finance.
Nortrade - Norwegian Export Directory includes a presentation (in English) on Norwegian finance companies, e.g. data and contact coordinates of some of the leading banks.
Export news - site presents (in Norwegian) short news on export matters, including finance.
Norfund - site presents the financial instruments (in English) of the Norwegian venture capital company, a sister organisation to the other Nordic.
Russia
St Petersburg Foundation for SME Development - site (in English and Russian) for SMEs in Russia, presents consulting services of the foundation, but includes also a number of links, one of them to a comprehensive database from year 2001 on financing sources. This database: www.fbd.spb.ru/inv2001/english/ allows a structured search for information on finance and financiers. It contains several international funding institutions, although the information in some cases is a bit obsolete. The database also includes a number of Russian banks, including contact coordinates, sector preferences and in some cases tentative credit terms.
Ford Foundation - has become a major international donor. The goals of the Ford Foundation are to: strengthen democratic values; reduce poverty and injustice; promote international cooperation; advance human achievement. For programmes in Russia, the Ford Foundation has set up an office in Moscow.

Financial guide from Barents Energy
NORUM - website (in English and Russian) of this joint venture capital fund in Russia presents the services of this cooperation between EBRD and the Nordic countries. The fund manager is established in St Petersburg and the website is found only on the Russian domain. It also presents the investors in the fund, with links to the websites of these organisations.
International Finance Corporation - includes a section on IFC operations in Russia, with interesting fact sheets, project tables, economic profiles and other useful information.
EDFI - presents the Association of the European Development Finance Institutions (including Ií, Finnfund, Norfund and Swedfund). It also contains a number of links to various financing institutions.
EBRD - European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
Virksomhedsguiden - portal in Denmark, providing information (in Danish and partly in Swedish) about services, rules and laws of the public sector that are relevant for the private sector.
Financing Guide - financing guide (in Danish). It includes a search engine structured after sector, size of applying company, purpose of project, geographical area, value of financial engagement and type of financial support. A special section deals with export and international cooperation, with a presentation of general information and links to some financing institutions and banks.
Investment Fund for Central and Eastern Europe - a site of Ií, a sister company to Swedfund, Finnfund and Norfund. The site presents the financial instruments of the fund and also offers a number of links to multilateral financing institutions.
Nordic funding
Nordic Academy for Advanced Study (NorFA) - grants for Nordic co-operation in research and research training. In addition, NorFA is an important actor in Nordic research policy.

Nordic Innovation Centre (under the Nordic Council of Ministers)
Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) - is a risk capital institution financing environmental projects in Central and Eastern Europe.
Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) - finances investment projects and project exports, both in the Nordic area and outside the Nordic countries. Focal points of the Bank’s activities include the neighbouring regions to the Nordic area, with priority for investment and environmental loans for private sector projects and loans to national governments or with governmental guarantees in the in the Baltic states, Poland and Northwest Russia.
