The Health fund of the Barents Secretariat

The Norwegian Barents Secretariat’s Health Fund is established to grant support to regional small-size projects within the field of health and social-related issues. The maximum limit of single-project funding is 75,000 Norwegian kroner (NOK).

Primary focus of the Health Fund is concentrated on projects and activities related to youth and indigenous peoples. Funding for other kind of health and social-related projects and activities can also be applied.

Today, the money in the Health Fund is allocated by the Norwegian Barents Secretariat and the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Service, via the Barents Health and Social Programme.  Applications for funding from the Health Fund follow the Norwegian Barents Secretariat’s regular project procedures. All applications must be filled out in English, and you have to use our online application portal.
