Happy 17 May in Murmansk.
Norway's Constitution Day - the 17th of May - has become a traditional and popular holiday for Murmansk citizens.It is celebrated with as much enthusiasm as in Norway.

The bright celebration started by tradition with a parade from the centre of the city. Jolly people waving Norwegian flags in their hands and some wearing national costumes (bunads) marched to the Norwegian Consulate accompanied by the sounds of brass orchestra music.
The reception at the Consulate General of Norway was hosted by the consul Jon Elvedal Fredriksen who welcomed everyone to take part in the celebrations.
Among the guests there were the Governor of Murmansk Oblast, Mayor of the City and the Head of Murmansk Duma as well as many other government officials.
