Application guide
To apply the Norwegian Barents Secretariat for funding for your Norwegian - Russian projects in the Barents Region, the applicant would have to be a Norwegian citizen from within the Barents Region.
The application form must be completed in Norwegian or English in our online e-application portal.
The Norwegian Barents Secretariat has introduced e-application for all Barents Projects. The applicant must log in to our new e-application portal and create a user which will enable the applicant to set up the application by filling in ALL windows. The applicant must be Norwegian and all information on the portal is in Norwegian. However, the application can be written in english if also non Norwegian speaking partners is part of the application prosess.
The Barents Secretariat is unable to evaluate project applications not completed will all required information following our guidelines and conditions. All applicants must read and accept the Guidelines and Conditons for grants from the Norwegian Barents Secretariat before sending an application for grants. (see attachment below).
Application deadlines for 2010 are:
March 1st
October 1st
It will take 4 - 6 weeks after the deadlines before you will receive the answer.
Some of the project funds at the regional level are allocated to projects where the application sum to the Norwegian Barents Secretariat does not exceed NOK 400,000. The applications are administratively and consecutively processed by the staff of the Barents Secretariat. There are no application deadlines for smaller projects, but due to the large number of applications, it may take up to 1-2 months to process an individual application. You do need to fill in the application form as for bigger projects.
